Like most of you that have had a look at Games Played by a player before making a pick in your hockey pools, you may have taken some notice about Alexander Semin (Dale C.) in Washington.
Semin only had 1:45 worth of ice-time against the Senators on Tuesday night after he had injured his tailbone in the game.
Semin has already missed 17 games this season with his bum ankle and now he'll be listed as day-to-day with his broken bum. Semin also mised 5 games last season (maybe not as bad), but he had missed 30 games in 2003-04, the last season before the lockout, as he stayed in Russia, the season after the lockout. So, some years... he won't show up!
As a pool player, you may want to consider his Games Played and maybe knock him down a couple pegs, because on a safety issue, he isn't your best bet. He is more of a home run kind of guy, especially if he can score 38 goals again. This season is only 6 goals, so he's not even close to his 38-goal pace.
