Somewhat of a surprise, but Matt Hunwick was a healthy scratch for the Bruins on Saturday night against the Maple Leafs, likely because he was a -2 in the Bruins game against the Habs on the Friday night. Hunwick gets some solid minutes every game for the Bruins, so this was likely just punishment for a poor effort in Montreal and should likely dress for the team's next game, which is Thursday, when the Bruins host the Leafs again.
Hunwick is a drafted defenseman, taken in the last round by Dale C. this year. Dale sits in 5th place going into Sunday's action, but wasn't really missing out on Hunwick's minutes on Saturday, as they are still defenseman minutes.
Hunwick is also a member of Box 28 of the Sheet, where he was taken three times. His 7 points this season is well behind the box leader, Tobias Enstrom of the Thrashers, who has 20 points this year.
