Even More Sheet Scratches

The Wild had to call up Anton Khudobin from the AHL on Tuesday to fill in for Josh Harding on the bench, as Niklas Backstrom's back-up against Columbus, because Harding had a bout of the flu. It's been a little while since we had the flu bug rear it's ugly head, but here it is. The Wild are in Montreal on Thursday, but with this schedule, I would expect to see Backstrom to start that game as well.

It continues to be a rough sophomore season for Patrik Berglund of the Blues, as he was made into a healthy scratch again on Tuesday night, as his Blues took on the Flames at home. In 26 games, Berglund only has three goals and three assists, which was more than enough reason to have him dropped in the Draft and traded away in the Sheet pool.

A pair of scratches in the Lightning line-up, including one Draft player, but we'll do both of them right here in the Sheet scratches. Both Alex Tanguay and Jeff Halpern were made into scratches on Tuesday night, as the Lightning were blown away in Nashville. Tanguay, a Draft pick of Larry's and a Box 20 forward, has not been the offensive force that Lightning hoped he would be with only 4 goals and 13 assists in 32 games. Halpern, Box 23 forward, has only 5 goals and 5 assists in 32 games this year, but he's more of a depth/face-off guy, which obviously hasn't been working.
