Box 12 defenseman, Steve Eminger, was a healthy scratch for the Ducks on Thursday night against the Stars. Eminger has seen some dwindling ice-time in the last five games and it has culminated into some real time off. It will be interesting to see what happens with Eminger and the team, since there is plenty of trade talk around a lot of teams nowadays.
Patrick Lalime of the Sabres agreed to spend some time down in the minors to get some quality starts, as he hasn't seen much playing time behind Ryan Miller. Since it's a conditioning trip, he doesn't have to pass through waivers and he'll be back up within the next couple weeks. No one should be worried, since no one in the pool has him on the Sheet pool.
Box 22 forward, Nick Foligno, was a surprise scratch for the Senators as they took on the Kings in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Foligno only has one goal in his last five games and only nine points in 25 games this season. He should be re-inserted into the line-up in the team's next game, Saturday in Phoenix.
