Well, it appears that the Monster, Jonas Gustavsson, will go back under the knife on Friday for another heart procedure to help correct his abnormal & elevated heart beats. This will be his second ablation procedure since joining the Maple Leafs in the summer, which has to be somewhat concerning for the Leafs, their fans and the fantasy hockey owners. This should keep Gustavsson on the shelf for the next couple of weeks, I've heard Christmas as a return possibility.
In 16 games played this season, Gustavsson has a record of 6-5-5, with a 3.14 GAA and .900 SV%. His record isn't too bad, despite the team's play in front of him. If you were to include his one assist this season, Gustavsson has 13 points in my pools, ranking him 218th among all players available for fantasy purposes. Among all goalies, he ranks 31st.
In the Draft, Gustavsson is a pick of Clayton's, who took him as his final pick in the original draft this season. Clayton's goaltending combination has been somewhat of a disappointment, as he currently ranks 6th in the standings and 11th in goaltender points.
Gustavsson still has 10 selections left in the Sheet pool, but his 13 points are only 4 points behind the box leader, Tuukka Rask of the Bruins.
