After clearing waivers a week ago, the Lightning have finally decided to send Lukas Krajicek down to the AHL to work on his game. The Lightning have had quite the logjam on the blueline since the beginning of the season, but they have waited the better part of 12 weeks to finally make a decision on who should stay and who should go. This may also be a ploy to put the defender on re-entry waivers, which makes him a little more appealing and affordable for a potential team.
In 23 games this season, Krajicek only has a single assist.
It shouldn't come as much of a shock that Krajicek wasn't selected in the Sheet pool. I had him ranked as the second best defenseman in Tampa going into the year and that was far from the case.
