The Ducks called up Box 9 forward, Troy Bodie, from the minors on Monday, just in case they need to fill a spot left behind by Ryan Getzlaf, who suffered a leg laceration on the weekend. Getzlaf is listed as day-to-day, so there is a chance he'll go, but the Ducks are going to play it safe for now. Bodie is yet to play a game with the Ducks this season.
A couple of defensemen were not in the line-up for the Kings on Monday night against the Wild. Box 14 defender, Peter Harrold, and Box 30 defenseman, Randy Jones, were not dressed. Harrold was an actual healthy scratch, as he hasn't been terribly consistent of late, except as a visitor to the press box. Jones is currently nursing a head/neck injury, which has caused him to miss out on practice over the past few days.
Being a recent call-up makes him more of a back-up in case of injury, but Box 9 forward Kevin Porter is currently with the team, but waits for another chance with the big club. In two games with the Coyotes this year, he hasn't registered a point with the club yet.
