The Nashville Predators were without Martin Erat on Wednesday night as they took on the Blackhawks in Chicago and they also do not expect him to suit up for the team as they return home to face the Blues. Erat is reportedly suffering from back spasms and has been since the weekend. Despite the back ailment, he has continued to be on the ice, so the injury must not be considered too serious and he will likely be back on the weekend, barring any setbacks.
Erat is a member of Stuart's 16th place draft team, after he was taken in the 8th round, 151st overall, which may have been a pretty good bargain at the draft, since he was ranked 129th among all players in the league in 2010. This injury, however, may not help his cause out too much, but Erat did finish that high with only playing 74 games last season, so there is still some hope of a good finish for Stuart.
