It sounds like a bout of the flu kept Patrick Kane out of the Blackhawks line-up on Friday night, as the team took on the Blue Jackets. Chicago ended up with a big 5-2 victory over their Central Division rivals, but the spoils of a scoreline that had five goals didn't drop down to Kane and his poolies.
The word is that Kane is still likely going to be game-time decision for tonight's game at home to Buffalo, as the flu may have still taken a good chunk of energy out of him. Monday's game against the Blues seems like a more plausible return date for the scoring forward.
In the draft, Kane belongs to John P., who currently sits in 15th place with 24 points to his name. Missing out on a couple of games from Kane shouldn't hurt John's team too much, but seeing the Blackhawks score five goals in a game and not have one of their best players in the line-up must hurt a little bit.
