A minor shift in bottom six forwards went down on roster deadline day, which may save some cap space for the Canucks before the 3pm ET deadline. The Canucks sending Darcy Hordichuk, who cleared waivers earlier this week, to the Panthers for Andrew Peters, another tough and gritty forward.

This trade would suggest that Mike Gillis is doing whatever possible to fit underneath the cap, while Dale Tallon acknowledges the possible minor upgrade that Hordichuk could give to the Panthers in their bottom six, but this deal doesn't have too much meat to it. It will be a minor amount of minutes and very few points being swapped in either direction.
