It should be safe to say that the Panthers will not be seeing David Booth any time soon, after he was run over by Mike Richards in the Panthers' visit to Philadelphia on Saturday night. There has been no official word on the actual condition of Booth at the moment, but after being laid out unconscious on the ice and being carried off on a stretcher, it should be safe to say that he'll be out indefinitely with a concussion. If there is an actual timetable to his return, there will be an update posted here on the blog.
Booth leaves the team after somewhat of a slow start, only scoring two goals and adding one assist in the first nine games of the season.
In the Draft, Stuart was just starting to enjoy the up-turn on Booth's play, having two points this week. But now, even dropping down to 9th in the standings, he won't have Booth available for sometime now.
On the Sheet, Booth was listed in the same box as Sidney Crosby, Box 18, so there was little hope that he would receive a selection this year.
