Wisniewski On The Shelf

Are the amount of injuries getting crazy again these days? The Ducks have now learned that they will be without defenseman James Wisniewski for an indefinite period of time and will be re-evaluated on a week-to-week basis.

Wisniewski was off to a good start on the blueline for Anaheim, chalking up four assists in the first five games of the season. That sort of production becoming lost for an indefinite period of time won't help the team or your fantasy team at all.

In the Draft, Wisniewski was one of the bright spots for Ryan, who currently sits in 11th the standings. Wisniewski was one of six players on his team with four or more points, so he'll be missed terribly there. On the Sheet, Wisniewski was taken twice in Box 13, well behind the leader in the box, Brent Seabrook, who was taken 18 times. Wisniewski may be a good candidate for being a drop for those two teams that picked him this season.
