Reports out of Dallas are saying that defenseman Stephane Robidas has signed a contract extension with the Stars for four years, worth $13.2 million. That will work out to a $3.3 million cap hit over the four years, which commences next season.
Robidas received a significant raise from his current $1.5 million cap hit that he had over the last three seasons.
In 2009, Robidas scored 3 goals and added 23 assists in 72 games for the club, ranking him 68th among defensemen.
The Stars do not have any forecasted salary cap issues for the 2010/'11 season, rather they don't have too many players signed on yet. Robidas is only the 10th Stars player to have a deal that extends past this season, meaning that they could be having a completely revamped line-up for the 2011 season.
