Markov Goes Down in Game One

In Thursday night's opener between the Leafs and Habs, Montreal defenseman, Andrei Markov, left the game with what looked to be a leg injury, but nothing was confirmed during the game. Markov had limped off the ice after being tangled up with Carey Price, but there was no clarification to what the injury is. He will be re-evaluated today at practice.

Well, that isn't the start that Peter was looking for on opening night. Its safe to say that it is still early in the season and there shouldn't be a lot of panic just yet. At least not until the acutal diagnosis comes down the pipe. If the injury is major, there will be an update posted.
