The Blues got some real bad news on Saturday, as they have announced that they will now be without forward Alex Steen for the next 6-to-8 weeks, likely the latter, with a broken wrist. Steen suffered the wrist injury this week in the last Blues' game against the Coyotes.
In five games for the Blues this year, Steen has only picked up one goal for the team, playing more of a checking role. His loss will be a huge hole in the team's depth for the next couple of months, but it shouldn't take too much away from the overall scoring of the team. This should enable Patrik Berglund to fit back into the line-up, as he has been a healthy scratch a couple times in the past few games.
Steen was not a popular pick in Box 8 of the Sheet, not being taken at all to start the season. He certainly won't be a solid pick-up for anyone who has someone injured or cold in that box for the next couple months either. Drop him or sit him, if you can... he'll be better off for you away from your starting line-up.
