Stars Place Ott on IR

The Stars placed Steve Ott on the Injured Reserve on Friday due to a oblique injury, which he suffered last weekend in the game versus the Canucks in Vancouver. The move is retroactive to October 11th, which means he will be able to come off the IR on Sunday, but it now allows the team to call up Aaron Gagnon from the AHL to fill in his spot.

Ott wasn't taken in the Draft, nor was he taken in the Sheet pool, in Box 5, so there are no immediate implications to the pools at this point. The call-up, Gagnon, is not in either pool, period, so he has no fantasy value at this time.
