The Blackhawks took advantage of the Ducks depth by claiming Andrew Ebbett off of waivers, as he was going to be sent down to the minors.Ebbett only figured into two games for the Ducks this season, not being able to register a point. In 2009, Ebbett was a very bright spot for the Ducks, scoring 8 goals and 24 assists in 48 games.
Ebbett wasn't taken in the Draft this year, so the move won't effect that pool this year. On the Sheet, Ebbett is in Box 7, but wasn't taken at all, thus far. The move to Chicago may make him a little more appealing, especially if he can find himself on a good line with some of the other young talent of the team.
