In another surprise move, the Phoenix Coyotes decided to send Mikkel Boedker down to the AHL on Wednesday, joining Kyle Turris and Kevin Porter in San Antonio.
In five games with the Coyotes, Boedker hasn't registered a point yet with the big club and it may be safe to assume that he has lost a bit of his confidence and a trip down to the minors is what he needs. Since he'll be joining both Turris and Porter down in the AHL, he will get to play with a pair of his future Coyotes teammates and hopefully gain some important chemistry.
New button! Very excited. Boedker was not taken in the Draft this year, as Phoenix wasn't a terribly popular team to pick from this year. He is, however, on the Sheet in Box 6. It shouldn't come as a big surprise that he wasn't taken at all there either. That box did have a pretty good split of picks, but Boedker didn't make the grade. Now that he is in the minors, he shouldn't make the grade at all.
