The Dallas Stars and Fabian Brunnstrom have avoided the arbitration process this Summer by inking a 1-year deal worth $675,000 on Friday morning. Brunnstrom, 25, signed with the Stars back in 2008 after being touted as one of the next best players to come out of Sweden, but all that hype has really fallen short in his first two seasons with the Stars.
In 2010, Brunnstrom was only good for 11 points in 44 games with the club, thanks in large part to a shoulder injury and a rehab stint in the minors to fully recover. He has shown some flashes in his career, but nothing that really suggest he's fantasy worthy this year. If we were to compare hype to results, he'd be a pretty big bust.
