Jannik Hansen and the Vancouver Canucks had their arbitration ruling drop on Thursday, a 1-year deal worth $850,000. In the afternoon on Thursday, the decision was agreed upon by both sides and Hansen will be sure of a job in the 2011 season, likely playing more on the 3rd line again.
In 2010, Hansen played in 47 games for the Canucks, scoring 9 goals and adding 6 assists for 15 points. That was only good for 494th overall in league scoring, 309th among forwards. His role, however, is more of a defensive and forechecking one, so scoring is not the biggest priority in his game.
