Another minor signing out of the Big Apple sees the Rangers re-sign Erik Christensen to a new 2-year deal on Thursday. Christensen was not qualified by the Rangers as a restricted free agent, but that didn't seem to matter, as they agreed on terms to a new deal regardless. The deal is said to be worth $925,000 per season and should work out well for the Rangers in the cap scheme.
In 2010, Christensen had 26 points in only 58 games, between the Ducks and Rangers, spent some time in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose during the year as well, hence the low number of games played. This is a solid move by the Rangers, as he seemed to mesh well with the team there. He's got an outside chance of being a good late forward pick in your draft.
