An Ankle Injury Should Keep Stafford Out

On Wednesday night, Drew Stafford (Box 21) suffered an ankle injury against the Panthers and it looks like the injury will keep him out of the line-up tonight against the Thrashers.

Stafford, taken once in the Selection Sheet pool, is listed as out day-to-day and isn't expected to miss many games in the coming days. So far, he's had a pretty good season to date. The young winger has 26 points (13G, 13A) in 44 games this year.

It was pretty unlikely that he would be picked up in the Waiver Draft next week, but the likelihood fell a little further since he's going to miss out on some games to increase his popularity.
