The Sabres are now holding their breath on Saturday morning as the fate of their starting goaltender now hangs on the decision made by doctors on whether or not he can play again this weekend.
Ryan Miller (Dale B.) left Buffalo's game on Friday night against the Thrashers after two periods with a leg injury and didn't return. Miller had left with a lead in the game, but back-up Jocelyn Thibault (Box 24) couldn't hold onto it, as the Sabres fell in the shootout.
In the post-game interview, Lindy Ruff still didn't know what the extent of the injury was or if Miller was going to miss any time. As of Saturday morning (and this post), there still hadn't been any details released. The Sabres don't play again until Tuesday, so there could be enough time to the keeper to heal and feel better before then.
