The rumours of the Oilers moving Dick Tarnstrom (non-pool) were seemingly true. The Columbus Blue Jackets decided to pick him up for their blueline in exchange for forward Curtis Glencross (non-pool).
Both players have been part-time contributors with their previous teams as they both couldn't quite crack the line-ups on a regular basis. Tarnstrom has played 29 games with the Oilers and registered 5 points (1G, 4A). Glencross has played 36 games and potted 12 points (6G, 6A).
This deal shouldn't really mean much to any pool this year, unless you're in Edmonton and was thinking that Tarnstrom was finally worth big points for a fantasy team. Sadly, that isn't the case. He should, however, join the top six in Columbus and get a little bit more ice-time. Definitely a move up.
