Well, the long-awaited return of Teemu Selanne (non-pool) may be upon us. He has given his okay to more than likely return within the week, which could be very good news to a pool team or two... not to mention the improvement of the Ducks offensively altogether.
It looks as though Ilya Kovalchuk (Peter) should be ready to go tonight for the Thrashers. Reports are saying that he'll be getting the green light from doctors before game time. Kovalchuk has only missed the last two games before tonight's game against the Flyers.
Big news on Tuesday in King Country! Mike Cammalleri (Dale B.) has been activated from the injury reserve and should be good to go for the Kings in the Big Apple tonight. Cammalleri has missed the last 17 games with his rib cartiledge injury and appears to be good to go tonight. He has 29 points in 36 games this season.
In all likelihood, it will be weekend returns for both Daniel Alfredsson (Clayton) and Dany Heatley (Jeff) in Ottawa. The Sens have been missing their top scorers for quite some time now, but they aren't rushing too quickly to get back into the line-up for precautionary reasons.
Bryan McCabe (Benson), Nikolai Antropov (Ryan) and Alex Steen (non-pool) have all returned to practice this week and they are all eyeing Saturday for their return to the line-up. This is welcome news in Leafland on Tuesday. There is also some word that Alexei Ponikarovsky (Box 19) may return much sooner than the original six weeks diagnosed a week ago. His second opinion he received must have been a positive one.
