In Carolina last night, poor sportsmanship has earned Nikolai Antropov (Ryan) a 3-game suspension for abuse of an official. Antropov was the goat in the Leafs loss to the Hurricanes by taking a late penalty that led to the game-winning goal in overtime. The Russian forward was fuming so much at the referee, he reportedly threw his stick in the direction of the official, which earned him two game misconducts and an automatic suspension.This 3-game suspension will cover Saturday's game versus the Senators, Tuesday versus the Panthers and Thursday away in Montreal. He will be eligible to return Saturday, the 12th, at home to the Red Wings.
