The Oilers will likely welcome the return of Shawn Horcoff with open arms, as the team's captain will return from a knee injury on Thursday night. Horcoff has been out of action since the beginning of December and had a timeline of 6-to-8 weeks, the latter putting him into the beginning of February, so he's just about on-time with this, in the six weeks sense.
When Horcoff left the line-up, Benson G. was in 4th place in the standings, having a 4-point lead on Kristy and Don at that time. Upon his return, Benson still sits in 4th place, but Kristy and Don have long since shot past him, now sitting in 1st place, 26 points ahead of Benson. On a better note, Benson does have 10-point lead on 4th place at the moment, so his position there has been made safer over the last six weeks.
Of course, this drop isn't specific to Horcoff's absence from the line-up, since Antti Miettinen has been in and out of the Wild line-up, Carlo Colaiacovo has been hurt (and hurt again) and Craig Anderson has not been terribly hot of late.
