The Rangers have finished play until after the All-Star break, but that doesn't mean that they will be out of the news, as they have apparently activated both Ryan Callahan and Vaclav Prospal from the Injured Reserve, making them available for their opening game, next Tuesday at home to the Penguins.
Callahan has been out of the Rangers' line-up since the middle of December with a broken hand, while Prospal has yet to see action this year after off-season knee surgery and a number of setbacks.
Well, this could mean that neither player will be dropped from draft team rosters in the waiver draft in the coming week, as Wes M. is currently carrying Callahan and Clayton C. has been sitting on Prospal. Both teams are near the bottom of the standings, so there isn't a great deal of direct impact to the money teams, although indirectly, both players could mean a few extra wins here and there, giving points to Henrik Lundqvist or Prospal's return could boost Marian Gaborik's numbers, so there is an indirect look for you too.
