Sheet Player News (Jan 26)

The Blue Jackets don't seem to be too keen on keeping Chris Clark in their line-up, as he was a healthy scratch again for the team on Tuesday night against the Ducks. Clark has been in and out of the line-up quite often this year, as his veteran presence just doesn't seem to be cutting it with the coaching staff. The Blue Jackets are getting awfully close to becoming sellers in the trade market this year and I wouldn't be surprised if Clark found himself on his way out to an Eastern Conference team soon. I only say an East team, because if he was to be dealt right away, the Jackets are still technically in the hunt and probably don't want to hurt their chances any further.

With the All-Star break upon us, the Senators have decided to keep some of their young legs fresh by sending them down to the AHL, where they are still eligible to play and get some time in. This includes Box 25 forward Bobby Butler, who has been up and down a few times already this year. with a week off in the NHL, it's a good idea to keep his development going through the break. A number of teams will likely take this thinking to heart and keep their young players developing while the team is on hiatus.
