Pre-Game Notes on Saturday (Jan 8)

The Bruins are not expecting to have Nathan Horton in their line-up against the Canadiens on Saturday night, as he is dealing with an unidentified discomfort, after leaving practice on Friday with the undisclosed injury.  He is supposed to be on the small road trip that the Bruins are on, but the word is that he is unlikely to go tonight.  We'll have to play wait-and-see with this one.

The Minnesota Wild have recalled goaltender Anton Khudobin on Saturday, as it looks like Niklas Backstrom will not be dressing to back-up Jose Theodore against the Penguins.  Backstrom has been banged up recently and is getting a few maintenance days from the team to try and get back up to 100%.  The injury doesn't sound too serious, but with Theodore playing well this season, the Wild can afford to rest Backstrom a few extra days in the long part of the season, but being only two points out of a playoff spot, they'll need some big games from their other goaltenders.

The Montreal Canadiens are expecting to have Roman Hamrlik back in the line-up on Saturday night, as the team goes up against the Bruins.  Hamrlik has been out of the line-up with an undisclosed injury for the last week, but with some other injury problems in Montreal, there could be a little more urgency to get him back into the line-up.
