The Dallas Stars appear to have lost the services of Box 12 defenseman Matt Niskanen for the foreseeable future, thanks to a broken nose that he suffered on Wednesday night against the Blackhawks. Niskanen collided heavily with teammate Karlis Skrastins, who also suffered an injury on the play, and both players were unable to go for the third period in the game.
