Besides Blake Comeau and Rick DiPietro being hurt on Tuesday night against the Flames, another Islanders player didn't escape the city unscathed, as Frans Nielsen left the game with an apparent groin injury. The team wouldn't say how bad the injury actually was, but the Box 20 forward is receiving treatment and he is likely listed as questionable to go on Thursday night in Edmonton. 
It sounds like Box 28 defenseman Randy Jones is dealing with a neck/shoulder injury at the moment and it sounds like it was serious enough to keep him out of the line-up on Tuesday against the Capitals and it could keep him out for a while longer. I don't know if this will run into the debut of Marc-Andre Bergeron at all, but since Jones was a healthy scratch in weeks previous, I wonder if he could quickly become the odd-man out.Link to the Injury/News Page
