Connolly Will Rest Lower-Body Injury

In my morning reading on Saturday, I have found that Tim Connolly had aggravated an injury during the Sabres game against the Senators on Friday night. Connolly reportedly has been dealing with a bruised foot lately and apparently it didn't feel too good after the game, which will lead the team to rest him a little bit. The injury hasn't really been described as major, but it isn't exactly minor either, according to the article. For now, I'll consider him day-to-day, but with the expectation that he'll miss at least one game, more likely a few more.

ImplicationsDale C. has Connolly in the Draft this year, but Dale's team hasn't been terribly great in the second half of the season, which makes this injury a little less important in the pool. Dale currently sits in a battle for 9th place, nowhere near the money this time around.

Connolly was in a top-end box for the regular season Sheet pool, so he was up against some top end players in a pool where it didn't matter how many players from one team you can have.

In the Playoff Pool, he's the top forward for the Sabres and if you think that the Sabres are going to go all the way in the East, Connolly should have a lot of consideration for being the team's best scorer, if he's healthy. A combination of Connolly, Roy & Miller would do a lot of good, if the Sabres made a run.
