Lapierre Suspended for Four

The Canadiens will be without Box 22 forward, Max Lapierre, for the next four games after a dirty hit on San Jose's Scott Nichol, which you can see in the video below. Lapierre was suspended on Friday afternoon and will be out of the line-up until next weekend.

Lapierre doesn't have a list of prior offenses or suspensions with the NHL, so it does seem to be a bit excessive that he picked up four games, but for the potential of being dangerous, it does sounds about right. Lapierre is 3rd on the Canadiens with 56 PIM, including two fighting majors, so I wouldn't say he was a terribly dirty player.

An interesting decision, to say the least.
