Another trip back to the press box for Avalanche defenseman, Kyle Quincey, happened on Thursday night, as the team took on the Florida Panthers. This was Quincey's second trip up in the last five games, as there still seems to be a bit of a rotation going on with the Avalanche defenders and healthy scratches. Coach Joe Sacco did say that Quincey wasn't playing with the same intensity (in a matter of speaking) that he was earlier in the year and this was his chance to re-assess his role with the team.
Another scratch doesn't help Clayton much at all in the Draft, since he's trying to climb back into the money conversation. I would imagine that Quincey will be back in the Avalanche line-up sooner rather than later, because of his role with the team, as a scoring defenseman, but any time away from the line-up is going to hurt the pool team.
