The Blackhawks blueline has really taken a beating of late, hasn't it? Following the suspension of James Wisniewski for his hit on Brent Seabrook, the Canadian Olympian was not in the line-up for the Blackhawks on Thursday night in Los Angeles, as they are still trying to diagnose his injury status. It is believed that Seabrook may have a concussion and will have to sit out the mandatory week, but anything more will still have to be determined. Currently, I have him down as out day-to-day.
Saying that, its hard to say what the pool implications are, because if Seabrook tests well against a concussion, he could be back in the line-up sooner rather than later, which would be good news for Dale B. in the Draft, who currently sits in 5th place, 14 points out of the money. Dale has had a good season already, picking up a jersey this season for his great 2nd 8-week segment, but finishing in the money is what everyone is after these days. This injury, if it is long-term, could be a nail in the coffin for his hopes.
