More Pool Transactions

It has been reported on Monday afternoon that Box 4 forward, Mike Modano, underwent an emergency appendectomy and will miss some significant time to recover. The usual turnaround time for this procedure does seem to be about two weeks, but the Stars are not going to rush Modano back, because they are not really in the playoff picture and likely won't be in two weeks time.

Missed on the Newsletter today, Derek Meech was a scratch by the Red Wings over the weekend. With the team becoming healthy piece by piece, the Wings are going to likely give the veteran legs some more work, since they may have been out for a while. The Red Wings go against the Flames on Monday night and we'll see if the Box 9 forward draws in or not.

Also missed out on the Newsletter today, Owen Nolan missed out on the Minnesota Wild's game on Sunday due to a lower-body injury. Nolan is listed as out day-to-day and might fight through the injury when the Wild host the Oilers on Tuesday night.
