The Pittsburgh Penguins are again without Evgeni Malkin for the time being, as it appears that he re-aggravated his foot injury, which he missed two games last week because of. Malkin returned to the line-up on Saturday against the Hurricanes, but it as there that the discomfort in his foot returned and he wasn't able to complete Monday's morning skate, thus taking himself out of the line-up for the game against the Red Wings. The injury is considered to be somewhat minor, but I can't imagine the Penguins rushing him back, with their playoff spot all but sewn up.
Of course, this doesn't help many of the Malkin owners in the fantasy leagues at crunch time. Chris has him in the Draft this year and Malkin missing anymore games will definitely hurt his chances of jumping into the top ten in the standings.
Also, after a little bit of digging, I see that John P., the leader in the Sheet pool, also has Malkin, but also has several trades left. I'm not entirely sure he's been paying attention, so I tempt fate with posting this tidbit of news.
