A bout of the flu for Cristobel Huet was enough to keep the French goaltender out of the Blackhawks line-up on Wednesday night. The Blackhawks did give an opportunity to Corey Crawford, who was called up from the AHL to cover for Huet, to get a start with the big club this season, as they took on the Ducks. The game ended up being a 4-2 loss for the Hawks and its unclear whether or not Huet will be ready to go for the game against the Kings on Thursday night in Los Angeles.
It looks like a scheduled start was lost for Huet, which probably doesn't sit well with Dale C., who has him in the Draft this season. Dale has one of the best goaltending tandems in the pool, but since its only a 2-player portion of the pool, that really doesn't say too much about its importance. Nevertheless, with Dale sitting in 9th place going into Thursday's action, he's hoping that Huet can make a quick return tonight and get him that start that he may have lost.
