Against the Rangers on Thursday night, the Penguins did not have veteran winger, Bill Guerin, in the line-up, as he's suffering from back spasms. There isn't much more to report out of this injury spot, but we should only consider him out day-to-day for now, but there's a good chance that Guerin will be given all the rest he needs to be 100% again, especially after the win last night and the arrival of Alex Ponikarovsky due to happen this weekend.
Of course, Benson is hoping for a speedy recovery and a quick return to the Penguins line-up, as he's in the thick of the battle for some money in the Draft standings. Benson already sits 31 points behind the last money spot in the pool, but he is having a good week despite this injury to Guerin and another back injury to Milan Hejduk of the Avalanche. Still though, he might be doing a little bit better with all of his soldiers healthy to begin this stretch.
