The Atlanta Thrashers signed one of the last pieces to the Marian Hossa deal on Friday, getting prospect Angelo Esposito to sign on the dotted line to a multi-year, entry-level contract. Esposito was drafted 20th overall in 2007 by the Penguins and was dealt to Atlanta at the trade deadline, which ended up being one of the bigger deals of the Spring.
Esposito, at one point, was thought to be good enough to be the first overall pick for the class of 2007, but failing to make the World Junior squad for Canada and having a drop in production in the QMJHL with the Quebec Ramparts didn't help his cause much. He does have some upside to him, which does make him One to Watch for the coming years, but it could be later, rather than sooner.
