The Buffalo Sabres have extended the services of their number one goalie, Ryan Miller, for another five seasons, after signing him to a 5-year, $31.25 million extension, which would see him in a Sabres uniform until July 1, 2014. This extension has no bearing on the Sabres salary cap number this season, but it does make him one of the higher paid keepers for next season.
Miller, 28, earned 79 pool points last season (36W, 3SO, 1A) with the Sabres last season, which made him finish in the top 30 in pool scoring, which could see him as a low first-round pick in your hockey pool draft. This is now back-to-back seasons for Miller in the top 30, which makes his pool value that much stronger, when he's healthy.
