The Coyotes dipped their toe in the free agent pool and picked up defenseman Kurt Sauer, signing him to a new 4-year deal. The big 6'4" defenseman will add some size to an already big blueline. As for pool offense, he really doesn't bring much to the table and won't likely be a hot commodity come draft day. Last season, he only managed 6 points in 54 games with the Colorado Avalanche.No financial numbers were released. The Phoenix Coyotes, without Sauer, had 12 players signed @ $32.6 million.
