The Philadelphia Flyers were pleased to announce that they have signed forward Joffrey Lupul to a new 4-year contract extension, which will begin after the coming season, and will pay him $4.25 million for each of those four seasons. This will take Lupul all the way to unrestricted free agency when he turns 28.
Lupul finished the season with 46 points (20G, 26A) in only 56 games, thanks to a concussion and a sprained ankle, which kept him out of the remaining 22 games. He has plenty of pool upside, when healthy, so try and value him accordingly.
