The Tampa Bay Lightning made, more or less, their final roster spot decision by re-signing Chris Gratton to a 1-year deal, reportedly worth $1.25 million.
Gratton played in 60 games for the Lightning last season, scoring 10 goals and 11 assists. He hasn't been a good pool-type player in a few seasons and will likely fall down the depth chart a little more after all the signings this summer.
This now brings the team's list of returning skaters up to 23 players, which is the limit of active players that can count against the cap. Amazingly, the team hadn't even cracked the $50 million mark against the cap, but they were close. The current number that the Sherpa has on his list is $49.3 million, for all 23 players.
