Tucker Goes to Denver

The Avalanche made another key signing on frenzy day, picking up Darcy Tucker and inking him to a 2-year deal worth $4.5 million, a cap hit of $2.25 million per season. This signing comes just days after he was bought out by the Maple Leafs for the remaining three years of that deal.

Tucker brings some more added grit to the Avalanche, who has it in spades with Ryan Smyth, but more is always appreciated. Tucker brings 18 goals and 16 assists from last season to the Avalanche and if they can keep him healthy, that will be an easy 20 goals for Colorado next season.
