Thrashers Land Reasoner

The Atlanta Thrashers signed one of the top ten remaining unrestricted free agents on Thursday, by nabbing forward Marty Reasoner from the marketplace. Reasoner, ranked tenth out of ten, will bring some definite penalty killing experience to a newly re-built team, which already encompasses quite a bit of defensive talent. Of course in most pools, defensive talent doesn't have a direct impact on hockey pool success.

The details of Reasoner's deal was not disclosed, years or value. However, Wednesday's signing of Lehtonen was reported to be $3 million for the single season. A better team update will follow, later on this summer.

Reasoner, 31, joins Ron Hainsey, Jason Williams and Ken Klee as new faces in Atlanta. The Thrashers are quickly becoming a new team, especially after the deal that sent Marian Hossa to Pittsburgh, which brought Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen and Angelo Esposito to their line-up.
