The Rangers avoided an arbitration hearing with one of their new acquisitions this summer, Dan Fritsche. There were no terms or financial numbers given in the transaction news, but he should definitely figure into the Rangers' line-up this Fall.
Fritsche scored 22 points (10G, 12A) in 66 games for the Blue Jackets last season and could very well be a sleeper for your next hockey pool. It does seem a little more likely that if he does succeed, it will be more of a mid-season pick-up for him.
Fritsche was acquired with Nikolai Zherdev earlier this month in a deal with Columbus.
