Montreal Signs Big Prospect

The Montreal Canadiens are high on their first round selection last summer, Max Pacioretty, as they signed him to a 3-year entry-level deal on Thursday. Pacioretty had joined the team's summer training squad and has reportedly done nothing but impress at camp. There is some belief that he could be one to watch this Fall, as he may make the jump to the big club.

Pacioretty has an NHL-sized frame at 6'2" & 199 lbs, which should help him compete with some of the larger Eastern Conference defenders and help him fit in with some of the quicker players on the team as well.

Excitement should be up on this kid... good for keeper pools.
