The Canucks have yet to make a big splash on the free agent market, but they have started to take care of some business. They signed recent waiver acquistion, Kyle Wellwood, to a 1-year deal worth $997,500 on Tuesday.Wellwood finished last season with Toronto, scoring 8 goals and adding 13 assists in 59 games. He's been known to have a very good offensive potential, but has yet to reach it in his career. Nagging injuries have been the key to most of his struggles, which he hopes to leave behind in Toronto.
